EVANGELISM
COMMITTEE
MEMBER: Plan and implement our goals to attract non-church people to our
congregation, help visitors and newcomers feel welcome, and sponsor programs
and ideas to encourage members to share the “Good News.”
AMBASSADOR: Serve as host to
visitors, welcome them to our congregation, and get to know them. Acquaint and
aid them with our worship service. Introduce them to the pastor and members.
Give them a gift (cookie jar), and ask them to sign the Visitor Book.
VISITOR
CORRESPONDENT: Write brief notes to thank visitors for worshiping with us. Call
the church office Monday mornings to get names/addresses of visitors for that
Sunday. Note cards and stamps are
provided.
PREPARE
“COOKIE JARS” FOR VISITORS: Assemble
cookie jars to be given to first time visitors.
Recipe and assembly instructions provided, as well as reimbursement for
supplies.
PUBLICITY – Submit information on
regular basis to newspapers and radio stations about special congregational
events as needed.
SIGN
CHANGER: Help to keep our outdoor sign up-to-date with witty and
inspirational phrases.
PHOTOGRAPHY – Maintain and update the
picture board in the Narthex.
Greeter : Welcome people to the
service of Worship, as the “first face” of our congregation.
